About UAE’s National Day:
The 45th National Day of the United Arab Emirates marks the UAE’s Union Day between the emirates. This is a time that highlights both historical and modern times in the state.
National Day is celebrated on 2 December each year in the United Arab Emirates. It is a day observed in all seven emirates and when Emirati celebrate the love for their country.
The United Arab Emirates has come a long way from where it once was (since December 2, 1971) with a never-ending cycle of upgrades and reform. UAE is indebted to Sheikh Zayed on assimilation of people under one country, one identity and one common cause: to build and unite the nation, as mentioned in The National. National Day celebrations honor those who took part in the founding of the UAE and who made that dream a reality.
To promote the values of unification, the municipality said National Day decorative works are underway to be more memorable than ever; Abu Dhabi Municipality is said to be preparing for National Day festivities by displaying “more than 30,000 flags and more than 7,500 geometric shapes lights heralding the number 45, the number of the years since the founding of the nation, [which] will be installed,” tells The National. The sky will light up with fireworks to celebrate the occasion.
To celebrate the occasion, UAE rulers, leaders and other dignitaries are sure to attend the traditional National Day celebration.
