If you need to open corporate bank account in Dubai and UAE, you need a valid license in the UAE (included Free Zones: but some bank offices – especially in Abu Dhabi) may not accept license coming from some Free Zones. Opening a personal bank account in Dubai, UAE is almost easy, although requirements vary from bank to bank. To open a current/checking account, you have to be a resident. Some banks set a minimum account/balance limit.
• Passport with residency (original and copy)
• A letter of no-objection from the employer/sponsor

When you open a UAE dirham account, you also get a free international ATM/Debit card and a personalised check book with unlimited checking facility, giving you free access to your money, anytime.
Then you can also apply for a Credit Card.
Some banks allow non-UAE residents to open a saving account in UAE Dirhams, US Dollars, Euro or Pound sterling and to access your money anytime with a Free international ATM/Debit card. Some other banks give you chance to open a Savings Account in US Dollars, Euro or Pound sterling, but without Debit Card: you can only use online banking to transfer money, or you have to open a UAE dirham account in the same bank, from which you can operate. They may require different documents from bank to bank: passport with temporary visa in any case is required.
Some banks also give chance to open Current account in UAE Dirhams, US Dollars, Euro or Pound Sterling with personalized check book with unlimited checking facility and free international ATM/Debit card.
If you are not resident in Dubai, you can apply for a credit card only with some banks, which can ask you for a security deposit.
