The international exhibition of “The Big 5 Show 2015”is one of the most important trade fairs for the construction industry in the Middle East; given the strong interest in the event, the most prestigious exhibition event reserved for industry professionals is back this week.
The exhibition started on November 23 and ends November 26 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The 2015 edition of The Big 5 expects the participation of 85,000 people and the exposure of 35,000 products from over 2,800 exhibitors from all over the world.
Many Italian companies are participating to the event. As stated by Josine Heijmans, Event Director of the Big 5, “The diversity and level of innovation on display at The Big 5 this year reflects the demand in the construction industry towards sustainability.”
With industrial unions of additional Italian regions coming forward to help various companies to participate in this event, a total of 408 Italian companies and 6500 sqm. occupied in space has been allotted to have more pavilions that demonstrate their products at The Big 5 this year; it reflects a strong appreciation of the Made in Italy in this area.
Of the number of participants, Officine Rigamonti S.p.A, an Italian company that produces pressure reducing valves, heating, filters and accessories for pumps, water pipelines and solar heating from Valduggia, a community (municipality) in the Province of Vercelli in the Italian region Piedmont, is to be at this year’s edition of the trade show.

Said “The market in the area is growing strongly and after some exploratory events, we come this year with the aim to consolidate our presence.” As quoted on the OR website, “The event in Dubai will be a very important step towards Officine Rigamonti’s further growth in the international markets, a privileged showcase in that country where the most ambitious architectural projects in the world are made, where ‘Italian quality’ and ‘innovation’ are topics that reach great consideration.
Dubai offers advanced solutions in the field of plant engineering and futuristic architectural designs in construction and has been very attentive to the Italian presence of innovation and sustainable, eco-friendly products.
Bringing the made in Italy at the Big 5 in Dubai (World Trade Centre, Hall-5 Booth C 227) are also many other companies especially involved in technologies for sustainability and environmentally-friendly solutions.
Biesse Group, a company that specializes in glass, stone and metal processing technologies will also be at the exhibition to showcase the latest innovations of Primus waterjet cutting systems, multi-function work centers Master series, and solutions to produce large quantities of medium to large glass panels.
In addition, VIR, a company that produces and distributes ball valves since 1971, Starcell, that is a leader in Europe in the production of honeycomb panels, Tekno Consulting for aeronautical technology services (heliports in particular) and many more companies in any sector related to construction will display their innovative products and the Dubai Big 5 event.
