Happy Halloween! ‘Trick or Treat?’ Events in Dubai

Happy Halloween! ‘Trick or Treat?’ Events in DubaiHalloween can be enjoyed by all! This yearly celebration is observed in a number of countries on October 31. This date consists of a festivity unlike any other; it is a day that brings a frightening excitement with people that can dress up in weird or scary attire and throw fear-provoking parties!

Today, devotees will engage in decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns (with googly eyes and mouth features), preparing small kids with outfits and masks to go trick-or-treating; many will get ready to attend costume parties. Typical customs include Dracula outfits for men with blood pouring from mouths and witches outfits for ladies. Other Halloween activities consist of visiting haunted house attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror films, like Michael Myers from the Halloween movie series.

While Halloween is not near as popular in Dubai as it is in North America, the day is celebrated in a similar fashion, with home yards and public spaces decorated with the traditionally macabre symbols and characters typical of the Halloween theme, including witches, ghosts, monsters, zombies, skeletons, vampires, spiders and fake cobweb decorations, in addition to pumpkins, black cats, bats and grave headstones

Other than the Halloween décor, with deep black and vibrant orange colors, residents (especially from Dubai’s expat community) will be wearing costumestotrick or treat and/or go to parties.

Those looking for a freakishly good time can go to one of several venues in Dubai to engage in Halloween get-togethers and social gatherings to play spooky and fun games as well as participate in other challenges, like best costume, or most creatively decorated pumpkin.
