Global Village: Dubai’s family entertainment and cultural destination

Now on its 20th season, the Global Village, Dubai’s largest open air theme park with an array of entertainment, shopping and festive events is back again; and it is expected to be better than ever in offering a world of options with pavilions from different countries showcasing their culture and heritage throughout the park.

For Global Village 2016, there are street entertainment and atmosphere performances, and a host a variety of shows on the main cultural stage. Different areas of Global Village, in fact, include an expanded line-up of attractions, concerts and exciting new rides and games. In essence, there is something for visitors of all ages!

The event is already open (since November 3, 2015) and will run until April 9, 2016, so mark your calendar to come and create lasting memories of a unique, one-stop-shop funfair. The site brings a world-embracing ambience with different countries together in one place “providing an extravaganza of sights, sounds and smells,” as told Dubai 92 ARN (Arabian Radio Network).

What’s new at Global Village this Season? New and more country pavilions; in fact, there are 32 pavilions, with more than 75 countries being represented from MENA, Europe, Far East, Africa, The Americas, and South Asia.

There is also an array of culturally rooted products from retail shops all in one place, so guests can have a first-hand shopping experience of the diversity our globe has to offer in authentic crafts and merchandise at the worldwide pavilions.

As many as 18 restaurants are found at Global Village serving local cuisines, international dishes and specialties. Aside from the restaurants are cafés and food serving kiosks too.

  • Saturdays to Wednesdays: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Thursdays, Fridays & Public Holidays: 04:00 PM – 01:00 AM

Attention Global Village Visitors: There is still time to visit the fair. Book tickets if you want to attend or purchase available entry tickets available for sale at all Global Village gates. The general admission tickets at Global Village costs Dh 15 each; however, children of age of 3 years and below enter Global Village free of charge; this is also the case for senior citizen over the age of sixty-five and guests who show a valid disability ID card.
