Welcome to the fundraising 2013 Dubai Women’s Run 5K and 10K! Register for the 10k/5k on November 8, 2013. Start your fundraising page and to start fundraising today. Run for a cause. Do your bit for charity and run for a reason!
The Run also enables women to be active, fit and involved.
For some women participating in this Run, the motivating factors are the opportunity to run in a supportive and friendly environment and to socialize with other women runners. For others, such as competitive female runners it is the opportunity to be part of the front runners instead of feeling that they are the “chase” group. An all women’s race lets them experience the rush of being first across the finish line instead of being the first woman across the finish line.
Regardless of what pace you are setting or what motivates you to cross the finish line, it is the collective power of the group all supporting one another that makes the Dubai Women’s Run so unique and memorable. Pick your race and come set the pace with us in 2013.

Deciding which charity to run for in a race. Whether you are a runner with your own place in a race, or are perhaps looking to secure a spot running with a charity, there’s no denying that there are many worthy charities out there – all of whom could really do with your help. Charity runners provide a significant amount of income for charities and by accepting a place you’re entering into a firm commitment to raise the agreed amount of funds. It is not one to be taken lightly and it worth bearing in mind the charity will be relying on those running funds.
The benefits of running a race for charity
Though running a race can be a great way of improving your health and fitness and doing wonders for your self-confidence, running on behalf of a charity is also a hugely popular option. Running a race for charity allows you to raise important funds whilst getting a great workout. Here’s our guide on running for a charity in a race. But with so many worthy charities to choose from, how do you decide which charity to run for? When deciding on the charity that you want to run for, think about the points below – each of which will help you get closer to making this all important running decision.
- Think about whether you have any real affinity with a particular charity or whether you know much about their work.
- Consider a cause that is close to your heart – it may be that you have personal or family reasons why you should run for a particular charity.
- Maybe you know someone that is already running for a charity and you would like to team up together on race day.
- Consider what you believe in and select a cause you feel strongly about. It will prove invaluable when you are trying to persuade people to hand over their hard-earned cash.

My Dear Ladies,
On behalf of the UAE Athletics Federation, welcome to the 4th Annual Dubai Women’s Run !
Through your incredible support of this wonderful Run for Women we have grown tremendously and you have helped make the Dubai Women’s Run the Annual Even that it is today.
The UAE Athletics Federation is proud to organize this world-class event that not only is a platform to highlight some of the UAE’s best distance running talent, but for many women it serves as the entry point to becoming healthy and active individuals.2013 will be another exciting year for the Dubai Women’s Run.
For the second time,
The Run will host both 5K and 10K Women showcasing some of the nation’s most talented and well-known distance runners.
Because of our enormous growth in participants, The Dubai Women’s Run is also thrilled to be unveiling a new venue at Meydan Race Course for 2013. We want to help inspire and motivate new runners and walkers to participate in the activity that is ingrained in so many of our lives.
While we are extremely excited for this year’s event, we can’t help but think of the tragic events that happened at the Boston Marathon this past April. Our hearts are still with the victims, and we continued to be inspired by the stories of heroism and bravery that continue to unfold from that day.
Safety has always been the top priority for the UAE Athletics Federation, and we are grateful to have had the guidance of experts in the field as we planned for this year’s event. Each year, we work closely with the Municipality, RTA,
Dubai police, Emergency medical service units and other agencies to establish safety procedures and plan for emergencies of all kinds. While the tragedy in Boston has emphasized the importance of safety and security at running events around the world, we feel confident knowing that this year’s preparation is not something new, but an extension of what we’ve always done to make the event safe for our participants, volunteers and spectators as they celebrate with us.
Race day will be here before you know it, the Dubai Women’s Run will be filled with runners, joggers, walkers and lined with fans.
We hope you enjoy all the new children’s play area, the after breakfast and the post run festivities the 2013 event has to offer, We’ll see you at the start line of the Run!
