Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir Bin Hendi cruised to a comfortable victory in the opening round of the 2014 UIM Skydive Dubai XCAT World Series at DIMC – Mina Seyahi today.
The Fazza team were entirely untroubled as they started in pole position and maintained their lead throughout the 15-lap race.
The more intriguing battle was, however, taking place in their wake, as Salem Al Adidi and Talib Al Sayed in Victory Team started in second but were eventually overtaken by the Skydive Dubai duo of Sultan Al Dhaheri and Jay Price.
Tomaso Polli and Matteo Nicolini were well-pleased with their first outing of the season, ahead of the first UIM Skydive Dubai XCAT World Series race of the year this weekend.
But they believe there’s still more to come for their team as they look to build on the successes of 2013.
Taking to the water at DIMC – Mina Seyahi for the first official practice of the season this afternoon, the duo in their boat, Six, managed the second fastest time during the free practice on the first day, recording a fastest lap time of 2:38.00.
Unluckily during the race some technical problems didn’t not gave them chance to struggle for the first positions.
