An outdoor gym in Dubai Marina, located on Al Seyahi Street, offers a workout playground like no other with climbing ropes, sprint track, monkey bars, and more. The site is available for anyone to use. It is a free-to-use open-air outdoor gym. Alternatively, there is Dubai’s Muscle Beach: JBR’s New Outdoor Gym. Located literally on the JBR beach, it consists of a CrossFit rig that is decked out with the usual weight training equipment. It is also open for anyone to use.
For an indoor gym based in Dubai there is EVOLVE (an exclusive health & fitness center) that features sport-specific conditioning programs, crossfit training classes and personal training sessions, general body screenings, analysis, health tests and nutrition consultation. The facility is on Jumeirah Terrace Rooftop.
The Warehouse Fitness Center LLC on Umm Suqeim Road, Al Quoz Ind.3, Dubai, features a basic fitness class such as Cycle, TRX, Bootcamp and Calisthenics, in addition to CrossFit, boxing or kick boxing, exercise conditioning, MMA workouts, or strength training that consists of an intense Brazilian jiu-jitsu routine.
Those interested in obstacle course training, there is to be a Parkour Revolution coming to Dubai. For those not familiar with Parkour, it is a urban obstacles activity that tests people’s coordination, agility, flexibility, mobility. Parkour has a methodology and immense physical and mental gains, say Parkour pros Stephane Vigroux and Chris Sotirou who have just started running parkour fitness classes and will be opening Movement Parkour soon.
MOVEMENT PARKOUR is being established at Warehouse No.34, Al Tayer Compound. As the facility is in constructing, Movement Parkour classes currently run on Sundays from 7 – 8pm at Umm Suqeim Park, Wednesdays 7 – 8pm at Zabeel Park, and Saturdays 9 – 10am at Umm Suqeim Park.
Chris and Stephane say that the warehouse will be a place to practice parkour and be taught the proper techniques and vaults in the safety of a specialized facility; the risk of unprotected falls and injuries will be minimized.
Aside from the indoor/outdoor training workout spots in Dubai, there is the Fit Lab at Dubai Creek where experts are on hand to help improve strength, fitness, flexibility and nutrition.
