Dubai Fashion Forward 2016: your guide to the event

Fashion Forward Week Dubai (FFWD) spring/summer 2016 is going to be staged at the Dubai Design District D3 from Thursday, 31st March – Sunday, 3rd April 2016. In this season it will feature more than 30 ready-to-wear and couture catwalk shows accompanies with industry talks and showcases. Here’s your day-to-day guide to the fashion ­extravaganza.

Fashion Forward aims to be the definitive fashion platform for the Middle East – a fashion movement that highlights strengths, inspires with new styles and trends, leading to the ultimate goal of driving forward the entire fashion industry in the Middle East Region.

Key components of  Fashion Forward Week Dubai (FFWD)  include: Catwalk shows, designer’s presentations, ready-to-wear and accessories designers in the Middle East. Additionally FFWD hosts The d3 Fashion Talks, to foster industry discussion and development.

FFWD is an industry focused event, welcoming members of the regional, as well as international fashion communities to come together in supporting Middle Eastern Design and Fashion talents. It will be concluded with string of social events and parties.

About Dubai Design District D3

In 2013 the UAE’s Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum, created a purpose-built design district to provide a hub for the region’s creative thinkers. The creators of this district undertook an ambitious and innovative approach to creating a regional centre for creative design.
