The Dubai Fountain is a record-setting fountain system set in the Bur Dubai district, Downtown development, on a 30-acre manmade Lake. It was designed by WET Design, a Californian company responsible also for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, under commitment of EMAAR Properties who gave a budget of AED 800 million (USD 218 million). Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m long and shoots water 240 feet into the air, creating spectacular events of dancing fountains, accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary music.
