Nico de Corato, CEO and founder of the DubaiBlog Network is ready for this incredible new challenge.
The next 1st December 2018, in view of the United Arab Emirates National Day, Nico de Corato will participate to a solo 140 km ultra-marathon, as he did in 2015 when he completed a 100 km solo race. The scheduled departure is at 12.00 from Bab Al Shams resort, in the area of Al Qudra.
An ultra-marathon begins when you decide to carry out such task believing you can succeed by following carefully a training program and a relating diet which enable the successful completion of such initiative, with the identification of a technical and support staff that follows you starting from the preparation stages.
An ultra-marathon of more than 100 km does not end to the finish line, but in ensuring to be in good conditions at the arrival and in the following days.
In the preparation you should not leave out any details, but it is appropriate to listen to the suggestions of those who have already participated in races of such level, the technicians who have followed them, the doctors and paramedics who have faced emergencies during these events.
It is not just a sporting event, but also the will to discover and make known the history and culture of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, where there are not only skyscrapers and shopping centres.
The arrival is scheduled on 2nd December: this date commemorates the rich heritage, civilization and perseverance of the United Arab Emirates to progress in all areas of development.
The 2nd December is the day in 1971 when the United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah and Umm al Quwayn – obtained independence from Great Britain and they established a political union called the United Arab Emirates, after a meeting in what is called now the Union House, just below the Union Flag, in the Jumeirah area.
The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah joined in 1972. Few people know that since 1970 the rulers of Dubai and Abu Dhabi formalized a first mini – federation between the two emirates.
The event is supported by Dubai Sporting Council (www.dubaiesc.ae) with the participation of other partners such as Nikon and Redbull, while the logistics will be sustained by RTA and Dubai Police.
We would like to thanks all the partners which have made possible this event.
